Running the day

Obligations, the plan for the day, money and training.

Screenshots show the apps running on demonstration data only — invented cases, invented figures, invented notes, and example reading material in Kosh — except Lekh’s, which shows the real week that produced “The hour before the hospital”, before a word was written. No clinical, financial, or personal records appear in any screenshot.

दर्ज — ‘entered, recorded’

Say it once; approve where it lands.

It began as a chat thread for logging the day. It is now my own assistant, on my phone and my Windows desktop: I type, in Hinglish if that is how it comes, or speak, and it answers, plans the day, or drafts entries for my apps.

Anything that would change a record comes back as a card for one destination: Surgical Log, Range, Sovereign Craft, Tend, Nook, Sift, Mirror, one of my private apps, or my calendar. A card holds only what I said; blanks stay blank, and what must be asked is asked, not guessed. Nothing is written until I approve the card, and most entries can be undone.

Lately it has learnt longer tasks that pause for my approval and pick up where they stopped, a plan for the day each morning and evening, and revision questions drawn from my own lectures. It changes most weeks, hence the tag.

Tend

Get it out of your head.

A five-lane capture board for the constant stream of small obligations. Everything gets dumped into one inbox, triaged later, and closed with a tick — the point is a quiet head during rounds.

Sovereign Craft

Plan the day. Close it honestly.

A native Android app for one daily loop: plan, record what actually happened, close the day with a short note on what was true, then look for patterns. Meals, focus, sleep and training are kept on the phone first, with an online backup.

A meal photo or a typed description becomes a draft I correct, and nothing is saved until I confirm it. No points, badges or levels. Built on one rule: I do not live to prove hardness; I live to build enduring worth.

Mirror capture screen with demonstration figures
Active

Mirror

A quiet ledger, not a lecture.

Spend capture in one screen, then a month-level view of what is actually left: on-hand cash against the forecast, EMIs coming up, and a watch on the two categories that leak.

Built because a budget you do not open is a budget you do not have.

Range

Only saved work counts.

My training record, a native Android app. Gym sets are logged against the week’s plan, beside last time’s numbers, with a rest timer; walks, runs and rides are recorded by GPS with pause and resume. History runs by session and by exercise, with personal bests and a calendar of finished sessions.

Its rules are the point: a plan never counts as done, streaks and badges count only saved work, and a correction keeps the original beside it. It works offline with a local backup, and sync is optional. Darj can add to it only what I explicitly tell it, as a card I approve.

Still in build, so there is no screenshot yet.
